Real Lives - Matt Baggott

  • St David’s Church, Moreton-in-Marsh Church St GL56 0LT United Kingdom (map)

Sir Matt Baggott, former Chief of Police in Northern Ireland.

Matt’s policing career, over nearly four decades, took him from walking the beat in South London through to involvement at the highest level in Downing Street, the White House and Vatican. He served in four Forces and was the first Chief Constable in Northern Ireland to be appointed by all political parties including Sinn Fein, during a time of peace making but continued terrorism and controversy. Matt’s story is one of unexpected change and challenge but also one of the reality of God’s presence, patience and direction over his life.

A series of events arranged by The North Cotswolds Gospel Partnership and led by evangelist Roger Carswell talking to people in order to discover their real life stories.
